SUMMARY OF PROCEEEDINGS OF THE FIFTH SESSION OF NWFP ASSEMBLY, THURSDAY 21^ST AUGUST 2008 (REQUISITIONED SESSION)

Mr. Kiramatullah Khan, Speaker assumed the Chair at 11:35 a.m. and proceedings commenced with recitation from the Holy Qur’an.

2.         Leave applications of the following Members were accepted by the House: –

i.                     Mr. Muhammad Zahir Shah Khan

ii.                   Syed Qalb-e-Hassan, from 21/8/2008 till the end of session.

iii.                  Mr. Amjad Khan Afridi, Minister for Housing.

iv.                 Mr. Wajih-uz-Zaman Khan from 21/08/2008 till the end of session.

3.         QUESTIONS’ HOUR

The following questions were disposed off:

i.                     Q. No. 71 by Mr. Atiq-ur-Rehman was moved and replied.

ii.                   Q. No. 107 by Dr. Zakirullah Khan was moved and replied.

iii.                  Q. No. 128 by Mr. Mehmood Alam lapsed due to absence of concerned Member.

iv.                 Q. No. 16 by Mst. Sanjeeda Yousaf was moved and replied.

v.                   Q. No. 23 by Dr. Zakirullah Khan was moved and replied (Referred to Standing Committee on Excise and Taxation)

vi.                 Q. No. 89 by Dr. Zakirullah Khan was moved and replied.

vii.                Q. No. 68 by Mr. Attiq-ur-Rehman was moved and replied.

viii.              Q. No. 122 by Qalb-e-Hassan was kept pending due to leave of Member.

ix.                 Q. No. 98 by Mst. Shazia Tehmas was kept pending due to leave of Member.

4.         RESOLUTIONS

i.                     Resolution No. 21 of  Syed Qalb-e-Hassan was kept pending due to leave of Member.

ii.                   Resolution No. 27 moved by Mr. Pervaiz Ahmad Khan was withdrawn on assurance of the concerned Minister.

iii.                  Resolution No. 33 moved by Mst. Sanjeeda Yousaf was passed unanimously.

iv.                 Resolution No. 37  of Makhdoomzada Syed Murid Kazim Shah lapsed due to absence of the Member.

v.                   Resolution Nos. 42 and 53 moved by Malik Tamash Khan and Mr. Sher Afghan Khan respectively were passed per majority with the amendment by Mr. Abdul Akbar Khan.

vi.                 Resolution No. 43 moved by Mr. Muhammad Ali Khan was passed unanimously.

vii.                Resolution No. 45 moved by Mr. Muhammad Ali Shah Bacha was withdrawn on the assurance of concerned Minister.

viii.              Resolution No. 47 of Hafiz Akhtar Ali lapsed due to absence of the Member.

ix.                 Resolution No. 60 moved by Dr. Zakirullah Khan was passed unanimously.

x.                   Resolution No. 78 moved by Mst. Naeema Nisar was passed unanimously.

xi.                 Resolution No. 95 moved by Mr. Israrullah Khan Gandapur was passed unanimously.

xii.                Resolution No. 99 moved by Mr. Muhammad Anwar Khan and was withdrawn on assurance of the concerned Minister.

xiii.              Resolution No. 40 moved jointly by M/S. Ateef-ur-Rehman Khalil and Muhammad Alamgir Khan Khalil was referred to Standing Committee on Law Reforms.

xiv.              Resolution No. 100 moved jointly by Mr.  Abdul Akbar Khan, Malik Qasim and Sardar Aurangzed Nalotha was referred to Standing Committee Concerned.

5.         PRIVILEGE MOTIONS.

Privilege Motion No. 11 of  Mst. Noor Sahar was referred to Standing Committee on Privileges.

6.         ADJOURNMENT MOTIONS.

i.                     Adjournment Motion No. 25 of Mr. Abdul Akbar Khan was referred to concerned Committee

ii.                   Adjournment Motion No. 29 moved jointly by Mr. Israrullah Khan Gandapur and Alhaj Sanaullah Khan Miankhel was admitted for discussion. Mr. Speaker will fix date for discussion.
