The Speaker of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly and Chairman of the Special Committee on Security, Mr. Babar Saleem Swati, has convened the second meeting of the Committee on Monday, November 3, 2025, at 12:00 noon in the Conference Room of the Provincial Assembly Secretariat, Peshawar.
The Police Department, Home Department, and the Chief Secretary of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will brief the Committee on the overall security and law and order situation in the province.
According to sources, the Committee will formulate recommendations to strengthen law and order, enhance counter-terrorism measures, and improve coordination among relevant institutions.
It is pertinent to mention that the Special Committee on Security, under the supervision of Speaker Babar Saleem Swati, was constituted to conduct a high-level review of the province’s security affairs, develop a coordinated strategy with law enforcement agencies, and ensure the protection of citizens’ lives and property.
