It is a moment of immense pride for the entire province as the Honourable Speaker of the Provincial Assembly of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Mr. Babar Saleem Swati, has been awarded the prestigious CPA Diversity & Equity Award 2026.

This extraordinary, first-of-its-kind honour was announced on 17 September 2026 during the annual Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference (CPC) in Cape Town, South Africa. The achievement also reflects the remarkable leadership, professional guidance and dedicated institutional support of the Secretary Provincial Assembly, Mr. Syed Wiqar Shah, whose continued efforts have played an important role in strengthening progressive, inclusive and effective parliamentary practices across the Assembly. Honourable MPA Mr. Ahmad Kundi graciously received the award at the international forum on behalf of the Honourable Speaker. 

Earning this distinguished accolade on a global platform is a landmark achievement for the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly and a proud moment for the people of the province. It stands as a testament to the Honourable Speaker’s leadership and the collective efforts of the Assembly Secretariat, particularly the Directorate of Training & Capacity Building, in promoting diversity, equity, inclusion and institutional capacity.
