Speaker KP Assembly Chairs Consultative Meeting on Proposed Budget 2025

Peshawar, June 11, 2025: A key consultative meeting on the proposed Budget 2025 was held today at the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Secretariat under the chairmanship of Speaker KP Assembly, Mr. Babar Saleem Swati. The meeting was attended by Special Assistant to the Chief Minister on Finance, Mr. Muzammil Aslam, Secretary Finance, Members of the Provincial Assembly, and other senior officials.

The primary objective of the meeting was to incorporate valuable suggestions from all stakeholders to ensure the upcoming provincial budget is people-centric, transparent, and development-oriented.

Speaker Babar Saleem Swati emphasized that the budget should reflect financial discipline, public welfare, and development priorities. He appreciated the inclusion of Assembly Members’ input in the budget-making process, stating that such consultations strengthen democratic norms.

Special Assistant Muzammil Aslam stressed the importance of transparency and inclusive planning in budget formulation, reaffirming the provincial government’s commitment to crafting a budget that aligns with ground realities and public expectations.
